The client sought a “jewel box” city bolt hole, which set inspiration swirling around gemstones and cocktails. Bold ingredients from enduring style eras were curated to capture a distinct Sydney flavour and irreverent sensibility. Charming and character filled the design kindles the spirit of the building, adding a lush layer of excitement and showcasing an expanding art collection.
Tailoring the compact bathroom, new finishes including blue-grey seamless microcement walls and custom Carrara / Rojo Alicante marble striped floors were introduced. The decorative door panels reference the koi pond in the adjoining Arthur McElhone Reserve, with spherical wall lighting providing a graphic punctuation.
